Getting Started
Three short pages take you from never having seen zCICD to having your own branch built, tested and running.
Read them in order — each one assumes the previous.
| Page | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Core Concepts | The vocabulary: repositories, branches, instances, test runs, releases. Everything else assumes these words |
| Navigating the App | Where things are in the interface, and what the branch list is telling you |
| Your First Branch | Push a branch, watch it become a running Odoo, open it and log in |
What you need first
- Access to a zCICD instance. zCICD is an application someone runs for your team, not something you install per project. If you do not have a URL for it, ask whoever administers it — or, if you are the one standing it up, see Installing zCICD.
- A user account on it, with a role that allows what you intend to do. Roles decide who can approve, release and destroy things; see User Roles.
- A Git repository connected to zCICD. If yours is not connected yet, Repositories covers adding one.
You do not need to install anything locally. zCICD builds and runs the instances on its own machines; you work with them through the browser.
